Each of us all of us have harmed somebody and somebody has harmed us. To think that you no longer missed the mark, everything is well in your world. This delusional state of self reliance on your abilities to do what is right, is really at the foundation of this morning's text.
Thank you for your continued support of the ministry and work being done here at Hope Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church. If it is on your spirit to give, you may do so here on Givelify: https://giv.li/pyhxjc
But Whom Do You Say That I Am?
It is quite possible even with a very sincere heart to misunderstand who Jesus is. It is possible for a person to be very sympathetic to spiritual truth and still not understand who our Lord is.
Scripture: Matthew 16:13-19
Stop, Turn, and Look.
God wants your whole heart, mind and soul. Too often we can’t pray one hour because the world has put us to sleep with the trivial and God wants us to choose the good part. There must be room in every life to stop what we are doing and spend time with God. We can have burning bushes in our own back yard and not stop to see why relationship, work, education and injustice are on fire.
Scripture: Exodus 3:1-4
A Time To Thrive.
Hope Be On Circumstances.
Any clear vision of the future starts with hope. Our very existence on planet earth can only be successful with hope. Not just any hope, it is the hope of faith in knowing that God can and will make the difference.
Scripture: Isaiah 55:10–13
A Time to Choose Better.
Scripture Luke 10:38-42
Praise is What I do.
My soul has been crying and the tears I can’t stop crying. Nothing is the same everything has been touched by the pandemic, and it has pulled the cover off and let the light in with no place to hide not the job, not in social meetings, not in church we must deal with the pain, hurt and injustices. The ugly that was confined to poor neighborhoods is now on full blast we can’t look away go to our favorite institutions. No, we must now answer the question “what is love without acts.
Scripture Psalm 34:1-4
A Fair Fight For Our Lives.
To come in the presence of those who abuse power without invitation, you enter an indiscriminate reality; the outcome has no rules that apply. If the oppressors want to hear you, you will live, if not, you die. So, it will not matter if you are polite, well-mannered, not resisting, or following directions, by being in their very presence, the racists believe they can make an arbitrary decision on your life. Esther, and those in her community, just needed a fair fight. Like now, the laws of the land needed to be changed to even the scales of justice. God's Spirit is upon us, and the LORD has chosen us to speak truth to power in such a time as this. What will you say? What will you sacrifice? Scripture: Esther 4:14
The Church Militant.
Say Their Names. We are at WAR. How does one live in a country that doesn't see your humanity? How do we sing the songs of Zion when our hearts are heavy and we feel weak? We are at war, but we have an ally! The Bible tells us to be IN the world but not OF it. The power of the Holy Spirit will help us to continue to fight the Good Fight.
Scripture: Acts 2: 1-4 Reference Scripture: Psalms 137:3
Asking For Restoration in a Time of Change .
This is not the time to go back, but to move forward. We can let our current situation dictate how we move forward, or we can "have sunshine on a cloudy day." With the help of the LORD and the Holy Spirit, we can be delivered. Ours is a God of restoration, and He can renew, recharge, and redirect us. Take a moment to connect with the Creator. Scripture: Acts 1:6
The Spirit of Truth.
Things are real gray right now to say that you understand the truth and concrete terms of right and wrong can be at best difficult. How to have the truth and, yes, it will set you free. Scripture John 14:15-17
Today’s Mom.
The thing that I love about modern moms is they understand how to ask for help, seeking information and rejecting what is not working for them this Proverbs 31 woman had help to make her household run. Knowing how to ask for and receiving help gives one an opportunity to live your best life this also helps others understand their value too.
Scripture Proverb 31:10-31
Help When You Need It.
We are always trying to contain life's situation, and it becomes most problematic when we face issues be on our control. The truth of the matter is in one way or another we have all experienced monumental, moments when life is out of control, God’s purposes brings us to the green pastures we worry less about things we feel we have no control of, we trust God in these still waters of isolation. The Lord is still in charge. And he is good. He is righteous. He is true. He is faithful.
Scripture: Psalm 23
Dreamless Leadership.
In this text, Pharoah is disturbed by his dreams and, instead of relying on his own understanding, seeks the counsel of a young Hebrew man to interpret his dreams. Have you ever chosen to face the truth no matter what? Have you ever sought correction over approval? Do you know a leader who would rather be liked than right? We are seeking leadership that desires correction over comfort so that we can face the change that is coming together. Scripture: Genesis 41: 5-8a
Failure is Not an Option.

With our GPS, God's Plan of Salvation, we are saved from our poor choices, our bad decisions, and our wrong turns down this road called life. Because Jesus stands with us, we will never fail! Scripture: John 20:19-31

We Will Rise.
IJesus wants to abide in you and in me. We should make ourselves open and available to him to enter into our spirit. Take off the old grave clothes and allow God to take you higher than you have ever been. His love has no restrictions.
